Tertiary sector decree: Transmission of energy consumption postponed to 30 September 2022
The decree of 23 July 2019, known as the “tertiary decree”, provides for the implementation of actions to reduce energy consumption in tertiary buildings. These buildings will have to achieve a reduction of at least 40% by 2030, 50% by 2040 and 60% by 2050 depending on the reference year chosen by the subject.
According to article R131-41 of the Construction and Housing Code, owners or tenants of tertiary buildings must transmit their energy consumption via the “OPERAT” platform developed by ADEME by 30 September 2021 at the latest.
However, this date has been postponed to 30 September 2022 due to the current health crisis.
